Quito was my first stop on a year long journey around the world by myself and they made me feel very comfortable and safe. The owner, Nikolas, is extremely friendly--he was always willing to give me suggestions for trips, help me call a taxi, and he even found a hostel for me in Guayaquil and made my reservation. I had a great time at the Blue House and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Quito. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. We stayed in Quito two separate times and this was easily the better experience. It is in a great location, very safe with lots of things to do, was very clean, and the people at the hostel are extremely helpful and super nice. This hostel was great. Great location in La Mariscal, great staff, big kitchen, COMFORTABLE beds, clean bathrooms, airport pick up, an awesome outdoor area, and just a great place to relax. If you\'re looking for a party hostel, this isn\'t necessarily that, but it is close to the party scene. Expect a clean, safe, and relaxing stay at this hostel.This hostel was great. Highly recommend this hostel - it was in a great location and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It is also really new so the rooms and bathrooms are clean and bright. The staff was extremely helpful, made good recommendations, and the ones who spoke English spoke it very well. The hostel itself is very secure- locked gate at all times, rooms secure, but in the middle of the night we heard someone get robbed right outside our window. Never go out alone after 9 PM in the MS area. Plenty of hot water when showering, breakfast was simple- but nice, convenient internet access, etc.The staff was extremely helpful, made good recommendations, and the ones who spoke English spoke it very well.
